从杨梅竹斜街街口走进去，能看到黑匾绿字写着“老北京兔儿爷”的字样，这便是北京兔儿爷非遗传承人张忠强的工作室。兔儿爷，最早出现在明朝末期，中秋节给孩子的吉祥物。后来慢慢演绎成送兔儿爷就是送福、送吉祥。如今兔儿爷更成了一个文化符号，代表着人们向往健康、平安的美好寓意。
