Since 2013, the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau along with Visit Beijing has hosted Great Wall Hero, an event that brings foreign influencers deep into the heart of China’s ancient capital, where they get to participate in some of the city’s latest and greatest cultural experiences.

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic foreign influencers weren’t able to travel to Beijing, however, Great Wall Hero 2020 is no less meaningful as our group of Heroes were drawn from the city’s diverse and uniquely talented pool of long-time international residents, representing the very best in the expat owned and operated tourism industry.

Great Wall Hero 2020 features a panel discussion with our Heroes about how Beijing’s tourism market has recovered from the pandemic, followed by a ceremony honoring their efforts to promote Beijing and their commitment to international cultural exchange.
